Welcome Letter for Bands

We are so excited about your upcoming show at Donegal’s, and in the

spirit of keeping things running smoothly, here are some important

reminders for a great show

  We KNOW most of you are already on top of these things,

but we are reaching out to everyone equally. 

IS THIS YOUR FIRST TIME performing at Donegals Irish Pub?

 Visit the venue before your show date to familiarize yourself with our space

 Walk the stage, take pictures, check out the lighting and where your sign will hang

 Reach out to bookings@donegalspub.com or Scott Young with any questions

DAY OF SHOW - Identify yourself and your members to the bartender/staff.

They will serve you and handle your bills, show you where you can store your personal items,

and will handle your pay at the end of the night.

Tabs are per person per night, and non-transferable. Pre-show, please sit in the area near the

pool tables, and keep your set-up equipment away from the dance floor area

STAGE EQUIPMENT – CRITICAL - BEFORE YOU TOUCH ANYTHING  

 BEFORE setup: take a photo of all of our current equipment settings

AFTER YOUR SHOW: Use photos to return EVERYTHING exactly as you found it

 With 50+ bands and 100+ shows per year, consistency is essential for smooth transitions

 We check the equipment after each band - please be respectful of the next performers

STAGE EQUIPMENT: PHOTOGRAPH → PERFORM → RESTORE

This is our #1 request Why this matters to you:

 You get better sound (our settings are optimized for the room) and faster set-up

 The next band won't blame YOU when their soundcheck is a disaster

 Your band retains their reputation for being professional

Why this matters to us:

 50+ bands, 100+ shows per year, it’s chaos without consistency

 We check after each band - respectful bands get priority rebooking

 There are less issues at set-up with each band after.

BAND VISIBILITY MATTERS  Do you have a banner or drum logo?

A banner/sign will …help audiences find and follow you during and after the show, make you searchable in photos/videos and peoples posts AND create lasting opportunities for new fans to discover you.

 Every photo taken will have your name on it

 When people post photos/videos of your set, can they find you later?

 Fans want to tag you but some may not know your exact name

 Clear signage → searchable posts → new followers → bigger audience next time

 Isn't growing your fanbase the whole point?

 We have found that often there is better engagement on personal accounts over professional ones.

 Post multiple times (announcement, weeks before, day of)

 Stories, reels, posts - use everything you have - These proven strategies benefits everyone
